Zip Zap A Social Circus is a film directed by Jessie Ayles, a recent Goldsmiths Uni graduate, about South Africa’s children overcoming hardships and building a new culture of peaceful coexistence through the medium of circus arts.  For its students and collaborators, Zip Zap circus is more than just a circus, it’s a family and a home. Jessie Ayles After gaining a bachelor’s degree in Film and Literature from Warwick University, Jessie completed an intensive documentary course at the famous Cuban film school, La Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión. She then went on to complete a masters in Screen Documentary at Goldsmiths University of London, where she made her final film, ‘Zip Zap…A Social Circus’ in South Africa.
